Hi, I’m David. I currently reside in the New Tecumseth area . I started in the helping field in 1997 as a Child and Youth Care Worker, transitioned into teaching at the post-secondary level in 2007 and have operated a small private practice as a Social Worker since June 2021. Over the years, I worked and taught extensively in the mental health sector specializing in understanding, preventing, and responding to emotional and behavioral challenges. I am a registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and a member of the Ontario Association of Social Worker. I am also a certified Child and Youth Care - Professional with the Child and Youth Care Certification Board and a member of the Ontario Association of Child and Youth Care. I offer confidential online virtual sessions to individuals in Ontario. In person community-based and in-home sessions are also available in South Simcoe and surrounding areas. I am open to meeting outside during daylight hours for a ‘walk and talk’. As a counsellor, I have a calming presence and utilize an eclectic approach that focuses on a variety of counselling techniques.
